Rain drops fall from a dark night sky,
As I listen to time tick by,
Patiently waiting, wanting that voice,

Soothing and soft like a pillow,
Enough to put a smile on any fellow,
Medicine to a mind seeking to be cured,

‘Yeah maan’ those words fall from her lips,
‘Oh Jason’ she says and I am on a trip,
‘Oh dear’ her reply to some of my jokes,

A big yawn forces closed my eyes,
A big stretch helps me sit out the wait,
